In Loving Memory of

Marilyn Klemke

(Maiden: Dunlop)
of Edmonton
Nov 20, 1955 - Jan 2, 2013

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of a dear wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. Marilyn Klemke (nee Dunlop) passed away on January 2, 2013 at the age of 57 years.

Marilyn is survived by Dan, her cherished husband of 37 years; daughter, Shannon and son, Mark (Meena). She will also be remembered lovingly by brothers, Ken Dunlop (Nathalie Roy), Rob (Shona) Dunlop, and Tim (Mary-Anne) Dunlop; sister, Donna Dunlop (Bill Chernenkoff); two grandchildren, treasured nieces and nephews, other dear family members and numerous friends. Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Donald and Mary Dunlop.

Marilyn’s life was marked by her devout Christian faith, the absolute love she had for her husband Dan and an unwavering devotion to her children Shannon and Mark. Her joyful and sacrificial spirit was reflected in the many messages and acts of encouragement and love that she offered to family, friends and strangers alike. From an early age, Marilyn had a special affinity for animals and throughout her life her constant companions were her "children with fur" as she described her cherished Boston Terriers. She was an avid participant and volunteer in many community activities, but Marilyn’s loving heart and gentle ways were always centered on her husband and family. Her warm personality and generous nature touched many with kindness, grace, compassion and thoughtfulness.

A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 12th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Beulah Alliance Church, 17504 - 98A Avenue, Edmonton.
