The family of William "Bill" Kashuba with great sadness announce his passing on February 15, 2014 in Edmonton at the age of 80. Born in High Prairie, Alberta, on July 20, 1933, Bill was the eldest son of the late Andrew and Eva (Groszko) Kashuba.

Upon graduation from McTavish Business College in 1954 with a diploma in Business, Bill took employment with the Department of Highways, which he served until his retirement. During his years with Alberta Transportation, he served on various committees in support of his work and community. In his spare time he loved to engage his friends in a friendly game of cards, golf, or curling. Bill possessed a winning smile and was always ready to provide support to young people starting out in their careers. William is survived by his wife Helen; his daughter Caren (Doug) Miller, Vernon, B.C.; Helen’s children, Ron (Andrea) Goruk, Nanaimo, B.C. and Geri Britton (Axel Peterson); his grandchildren Orion and Orissa Miller; his sisters Anne (Carson) Porisky, Alice (Peter) Kmech and Lily McLean; brothers Steven (Sharon), Andy and Buddy (Maureen) and many cousins, nieces and nephews in Canada, United States, Ukraine, and Latvia. He was predeceased by his eldest sister Mary Kalyn. Cremation has taken place. No services by request.
