On November 1, 2013, God called Hennie to her eternal home. Predeceased by her husband, Willem (Bill) Molenaar in 1993 and son-in-law Ray Ohlmann in 2009; she will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Henny Ohlmann from Leduc and Marion (Don) Van Driel from Delta, B.C.; grandchildren, Myrna (Chris) MacLure, Mike (Jackie) Ohlmann, Jeff (Nina) Van Driel, Kelly (Alf) Ens, Tara (Dave) Ottosen, and seven great-grandchildren. Hennie was born in Ede, Holland, youngest of three children. She married Bill Molenaar in 1948, and they immigrated to Canada in 1952. Hennie worked by her husband’s side farming in Ellerslie, Cloverbar and the Rollyview area before they moved to Leduc. She relocated to Edmonton after Bill passed away. Hennie was a seamstress, an artist, a poet and a woman of faith. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends. A Visitation will be held at Foster & McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011-114 Street, Edmonton, on Wednesday, November 6 from 7 -9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, Leduc. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Gideons or charity of your choice are gratefully accepted. The family wishes to thank Dr. Robert Simard and the staff at Leduc Extended Care and Leduc hospital for their compassionate care and concern. With a smile we will recall Her antics and her sense of fun; The memories will still go on, Although her days on earth are done.
