William Vernon Rackel

of Edmonton

On August 4th, 2013 Bill Rackel passed away peacefully after a brief hospitalization.

He is survived by Liz, his wife of 57 years, children Karen (Jamie Livingstone), George and Laurel (Chuck Brigley), grandchildren Jason (Allison), Blaine (Laura Juleff), Victoria (Josh Grant) and Jordan and several great grandchildren, special sister Lynne Connell (Don), sister Priscilla McNab (Alex) and brother Cleve (Mary), extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his son Clyde (Joan) and his parents Vera and Clyde.

Bill was a long time mortgage manager with National Trust and enjoyed many years of retirement.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 29th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Ottewell United Church 6611 – 93 A Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta.

In lieu of tributes donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice which may include the Golf Canada Foundation, Suite 1 – 1333 Dorval Drive, Oakville, ON L6M 4X7.
