It is with great sadness that the family of Beryl Elora Brace announces her passing after a brief struggle with cancer, on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at the age of 93 years.

Beryl will be lovingly remembered by her family, son George (Sylvia) of Evensburg, grandson Les (Isabel) of Calgary and great-granddaughter Brittaney of Calgary.

Beryl was predeceased by her loving husband Jim in 1996 and by her parents, Lillian (Cline) and Ardwin Brink.

Beryl was born in 1919 in Edmonton, Alberta and lived all of her adult life in Edmonton. Over the years, she worked for Serels Millinery, Optical Prescription Company and the College of Opticians of Alberta. She sang in the choir at Central United Church and Kirk United Church. Beryl and Jim spent many enjoyable summers at Devon and particularly enjoyed visits to Banff and Jasper. She excelled at handicrafts such as petit point and leather tooling and taught leather work from her home studio. Jim was "chapter dad" and Beryl was "chapter mom" in De Molay for a number of years.

A Memorial Service in memory of Beryl will be held on Wednesday, March 27, at 1:00 p.m., at Kirk United Church, 13535 - 122 Ave, Edmonton, Alberta.
