Lawrence Larry Kremp

In Loving Memory of

Lawrence Larry Kremp

Jun 22, 1951 - Jan 28, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of Larry Kremp announces the passing of their beloved father, husband, and brother.

Larry was born June 22nd, 1951 in Barrhead, Alberta. Son of the late Joseph and Cecile Kremp, and the youngest of ten children, Larry spent his early years on the family farm. He worked hard but always found time for fun with family and friends.

Larry’s love of music started at a very early age, playing his father’s guitar, accordion and organ. He bought his first guitar as a teenager and never looked back. He played in bands throughout high school and continued to jam with family and friends all his life.

In high school Larry met his one true love, Sandra Properzi. After marrying in 1974, the two of them moved abroad where Larry pursued his career in offshore oil. They lived in numerous countries including Iran, Malta, Singapore, Egypt, and the United States, travelling extensively and meeting lifelong friends along the way. In 1980, Larry and Sandy welcomed their first and only child, Amorette, into the world. They stayed overseas until 1984.

Larry and Sandy bought a home just outside of Edmonton and have lived there for the past 28 years. The acreage became Larry’s pride and joy. On his days off he could always be found fixing, hauling or cleaning something, or starting yet another renovation for his wife.

The past year had its ups and downs for Larry and his family, but his proudest moment was walking his daughter down the aisle and welcoming son-in-law Jeff Reitsma to the family.

Larry had a big heart and an undying love for his family and friends. Above all, he understood that life was a gift from God that should be enjoyed to the fullest.
