William Mills Parker

We are sad to announce the passing of Mills on Thursday, December 13th. Mills was a native born Edmontonian who devoted his life to family and his career of 35 years with Canadian Western Gas and Northwestern Utilities retiring in 1990 from Canadian Utilities as Associate Director of Public Relations. A creative person, he was very involved in many community projects. His interests included art, golf, cycling, hiking and Arizona winters.

Mills is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Carole; children Laurelle Johnson, Linda (Les) Trendall, Bonnie (Terry) Brugger, Barbara Parker (Tony Bloom), David (Kate) Parker; step-children Julie (Brian) Sribney, Shelley (Doug) Till, Brad Fisher, Kent (Antonette) Fisher; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Margaret Parker. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Norma.

The family wishes to thank the Dr. Gerald Zetter Care Center and Choice Program for their excellent care and attention to Mills over the past four years.

A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 11223 - 51 Ave. NW, Edmontonon Thursday, December 20th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.
