Obituary

In Loving Memory of

Hugh Hyndford Rawlins

of Edmonton
Dec 12, 1938 - Jul 7, 2012

Hugh passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2012 at the age of 73 after a short illness. He was a loyal and generous friend to many and will be missed by more people than he may have realized. Since the 1970’s Hugh lived at Pigeon Lake and only the past few years returned to Edmonton. Hugh maintained a special place in his heart for England, the land of his birth, although he fully embraced life in this country, particularly enjoying his first years in northern Manitoba and sailing on Pigeon Lake. Hugh is survived by his brother Edward; nephews, Anders and Jeremy, all living in Ontario. It was Hugh’s wish that donations in his memory be made to The War Amps, 1 Maybrook Dr., Scarborough, ON, M1V 5K9 or the Edmonton Humane Society, 13620 - 163 St., Edmonton, AB, T5V 0B2. A Memorial Service and reception will be held on Saturday, 21 July, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home, 10011 - 114 Street, Edmonton.
