Nell went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 16, 2012. She was born on February 23, 1923 in the Netherlands. She was a longtime Christian school teacher and choir director. Nell enjoyed gardening, travelling and playing games with her children and grandchildren. Nell was predeceased by her first husband, Peter Van Ry, and her second husband, Ralph Drost. She is survived by her son, Edo Van Ry and his wife, Wilma; daughter, Marina Schoon and her husband, Spike; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, as well as step children and grandchildren. Interment will be held at Westlawn Memorial Gardens at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Inglewood Christian Reformed Church, 12330-113 Avenue, Edmonton. All are welcome to attend the celebration of Nell’s life. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee, 3475 Mainway, Burlington, Ontario, L7R 3Y8.
