Helga Jensen passed away peacefully and with dignity at Dickinsfield Extended Care Centre on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the age of 89 years. She was born on January 30, 1922 in Tirstrup, Denmark. Helga will be remembered by her children, Erling (Ingrid) Jensen, Hardy (Norma) Jensen, Alice Jensen, Gwen Jensen, and Laila (Doug) Jensen; 18 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and numerous others that she counted as family. She also leaves behind several brothers and sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews in her home country. Helga was predeceased by her loving husband, Holger Jensen; son, Henry Jensen and grandson, Jarrett Jensen. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2011 at Ansgar Danish Lutheran Church, 9554 108 A Ave, Edmonton, AB. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Beechmount Cemetery, 12420 - 104 St NW Edmonton, AB Our sincerest thanks to the staff of Unit 3A at Dickinsfield Extended Care Centre for the wonderful care you gave.
