On Saturday, March 9, 2024, Colleen Gale Spink, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away. She was 81. Colleen was born in 1942 and then adopted by her loving parents, Mable and Herman Tuftin, in Sangudo, Alberta, where she spent her formative years and where she met Raymond, the love of her life. She became his wife in 1960. They were together for 62 years.

Colleen was active in her various careers, including being a Bus Driver and a Homecare Worker, but her greatest achievement was her family, where she spent untold hours caring, supporting, encouraging, and simply enjoying the wonderful life she and Raymond created. She is survived by her children, Leslie (Patty), Lori, Lonnie (Trish), Jeremy (Carissa), and Leonard (Claire): her grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott), Eric, Amanda, Hanna, Katelyn, Breanne, Isabella, Callum, Aislyn, Marra, Raymond, and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Blake and Harper; brothers, Nels (Iris), Larry (Debbie), Tom (Marleigha); sister, Joanne (Mike); various nieces and nephews; as well as many family friends who considered her a second mother. Colleen was predeceased by her brother, Gary (Debbie); and her husband, Raymond, who has been patiently waiting on his tree stump for Colleen to come home.

Donations may be directed to the Stollery Children's Hospital. on Colleen's behalf.
