In Loving Memory of

Nora Forster

(Maiden: Chang)
of Edmonton, Alberta

Nora Forster was a smart, independent, generous, vivacious, practical, and wise woman who passed away in December, at the age of 95. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Nora was one of twelve children. She attended the University of Hawaii, where she met and married her husband, John Forster. After completing her Masters in Psychology, specializing in epidemiology and statistics, Nora and John moved to California. Their travels included living and working in Maui, Minnesota, and New Zealand before settling in Canada. Together they had three children: Janet, Paul, and Carol. Nora possessed an innate intellectual curiosity. An avid lifelong reader, she challenged herself to always learn, and loved debating ideas around the dinner table. She was an exceptional cook across diverse cuisines and prepared many delicious meals for family and friends. She exercised enthusiastically well into her eighties. A champion letter writer, she stayed in close touch with family and friends around the world. Nora dearly loved her children, and three grandchildren - Mark, John, and Claire. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Cremation for Nora has taken place. A Private family gathering to celebrate and give thanks for Nora's life will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Foster-McGarvey Downtown Funeral Home.
