In Loving Memory of

Anna Rietel

(Maiden: Busch)
of Edmonton

On the evening of Saturday, October 7, 2023 at the age of 94, Anny was called home to be with God.

Anny was predeceased by her loving husband, Willem (Bill) Rietel; her sisters, Cornelia Geerlof and Frieda Klassen; and her brother, Bert Busch.

Anny is survived by her 4 children, Corrine (Tom) Mennen , Gerhard (Grace) Rietel, Yolanda Thorpe, and Ronald Rietel; her 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and Holland.

Anny was a kind and gentle soul who was loved by many. She was a knitter, who knitted many sweaters for family and friends and enjoyed knitting dolls over her many years.

She was very devoted to God and led by example in everything she did. She will be greatly missed and remembered with smiles, by people both in and outside of the Church congregation.

Following the burial, a Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Cornerstone United Reformed Church of Edmonton, 11610 95a St NW, Edmonton, AB.
