On September 28, 2023, Wayne R. Tinga of Edmonton, was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 84.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cornelia; his three children, and their families: Tammy and Everett Kasteel, Lori and Harry Oosterhoff, Robert and Inge Tinga; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters.

He was predeceased by one grandson, Gabriel Tinga; five brothers; and one sister.

A Private Interment will be held at Westlawn Memorial Garden, 10132-163 Street, Edmonton, Alberta, followed by a Memorial Service at Cornerstone United Reformed Church of Edmonton, 11610-95A Street, Edmonton, Alberta, at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, October 6, 2023.
