Wilma Straayer of Edmonton went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 26, 2023, at the age of 91.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Marcel; son, Martin; and siblings, Jaap Smit and Joppe Ponsen.

Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joanne Booth and Margaret Holt; grandchildren, Brenda Trupp, Holly (Ryan) Booth-Hollems, Matthew Holt and Carter Booth; sisters, Emmy and Beppe; numerous nieces, nephews and family in Holland.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Westlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 16310 Stony Plain Rd., Edmonton.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the nurses, doctors, and support staff at the Mazankowski Heart Institute for their kindness and care of mom in her final days. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Richard Hanelt at the Good Samaritan Senior Clinic for all his care over the years.
