Obituary

Margaret Campbell

In Loving Memory of

Margaret Campbell

Peggy passed peacefully in Edmonton Alberta on January 7, 2023, at the age of 97.

She was the youngest of four daughters, born to Margaret [Entwisle] and Harry Feakes in Hughenden, Alberta, on November 6, 1925. Peggy grew up a prairie girl and moved with her family to England in the 1930s. There she attended school, worked to support the war effort, and met her future husband, a Canadian soldier. She joined him in Vancouver, British Columbia, to marry, create a home, and raise a family. After his death in 1998, she moved to Edmonton to live near extended family.

Peggy will be fondly remembered as a loving mum, dedicated caregiver, and tireless volunteer of her time and talents. She welcomed all with a cup of tea and her baking. She was a life member of The Order of the Eastern Star.

Her memory lives on with her sister, Evelyn; daughter, Eileen; son, Jim (Jocelyn); two grandsons, many nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends.

Peggy is predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Herbert; sisters, Mildred and Mary; and niece, Karen.

Special thanks to the staff at Rutherford Heights and The Good Samaritan Clinic for their exceptional care. The family is grateful to friend, Ronon Wagar, for her kindness and companionship, and great-niece, Kaili Hoffart, for her care and guidance.

Honouring Peggy's wishes, in lieu of a service, a donation to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
