In Loving Memory of

Roberta "Bobbie" Reid

Bobbie Reid passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022 at the age of 94.

She is survived by her children: Terri Chalaturnyk, Debbie Dubetz, Jack (Brenda) Reid, Janice (Kevin) Dotinga, and Jeff (Meaghan) Reid; grandchildren: Ryan (Heidi), Tyler (Keli), Nathan (Jenna), Jonathan (Natalie), Evan (Jenn), and Alison; great-grandchildren: April, Ivy, Finn, Nora, and Keaton; siblings: Dorothy Browne and Bill (Johanne) Dryden; and a large circle of loved ones who will miss her generosity, quiet strength, and wisdom.

At Mom's age, it is no surprise that she was predeceased by numerous family and friends, as well as Jack, her loving husband of 59 years. She often spoke about wanting to be with Dad. We know she is happy in his arms right now, dancing to their favourite tunes as they smile into each other's eyes. We are so grateful for their love, which lives on in us and passes down through the generations.

It is never easy to lose someone so dearly loved, or capture their essence with mere words. The memories we have of Momâ€"like her creativity, her strong work ethic, her incredible green thumb, her love of music, her sense of adventure, the traditions she passed down to us, her pride in her children, and her absolute delight in her grandchildren and great-grandchildrenâ€"will sustain us through the years. She juggled all of her demanding roles, as an accountant, wife, and mother, and somehow made it look easy. She always knew when we needed words of encouragement and when we needed a firm talking to, and never hesitated to give us either. Her fabulous meals were a labour of love and she always made room for everyone at the table. Her home was always open, her heart was always open - what a wonderful example she set for us all!

Please take a moment to do something in Mom's memory. That could be a kind word, a helping hand or a donation to Mom's charity of choice, the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. Per Mom's wishes, a private service will be held for immediate family.
