Margaret Eileen Tait, 83, passed away peacefully at the Roozen Family Hospice Centre, Edmonton on November 6, 2021. Born in Glasgow, Scotland on May 3, 1938 to parents Margaret (Forrest) and John Summers, Eileen studied nursing at the Victoria Infirmary before marrying Robert James Tait and emigrating to Edmonton in 1962.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Robert; children, Elizabeth (Adrian) and Niall (Crystal); grandchildren, Claire, Robert and Anna; sisters, Anne (Ewan) and Lesley (Michael); nieces and nephews.

Eileen was dedicated to her nursing career. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, a tireless volunteer, and a dear friend to many. Committed to learning all her life, she graduated with a BScN in 1980, read constantly, and loved travel and the arts. Warm and generous, she made lasting friendships wherever she went, and in her last weeks continued to be a gracious hostess to her visitors.

Her family wish to thank her entire care team, the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Roozen Family Hospice Centre; Lori and Maggie; and her longtime friends Marion, Judy and Jeanne who all supported Eileen until the end.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on November 18, 2021, at Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home, 10011 114 Street NW, Edmonton. All attendees must show proof of ID and COVID-19 vaccinations, or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours.

Memorial donations may be made to the Roozen Family Hospice Centre (Pilgrim's Hospice Society), 9808 148 St NW, Edmonton, AB T5N 3E8, or to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, https://cpff.ca/get-involved/donate/.
