The families of Bill and Sandy are sad to announce their passings this year, both having suffered with various medical conditions.

Bill is survived by sisters, Margaret Cholod and Judy Uwiera; nieces: Maryjean (Bernd) Drolshagen, Donna (Marcel) Doyle, and Debi (Andrew) Conn. He was predeceased by parents, John (Jack) MacDonald and Jean Uwiera, brother Raymond Uwiera. Within months of Bill's passing Sandy also passed away.

Sandy is survived by sisters, Pat Hidson and Kathy Fedoruk; brothers, Wayne (Pat) and Dale (Laura) McGuire; nieces: Melissa (John) Lang, Stephanie (Kristopher) Howie, Tara Barnes and Liath Hidson; nephews: Aaron and Jared Hidson, Kevin McGuire, Darol and Allan M. McKee, and Sheldon Fedoruk. She was predeceased by parents, Darol and Mildred McGuire.

Bill and Sandy were both long-time postal workers.

Bill began as a railway mail clerk in the 1950's sorting mail on the train between Calgary and Revelstoke. Bill later became a letter carrier in Edmonton and was actively involved in the CUPW union through his career both as a member and for a number of years as president of local 15.

Sandy began her career as a clerk in Social Services and after being introduced to Bill and falling in love, moved over to the post office as a mail sorter. Sandy was also active in the CUPW union as a shop steward.

Donations may be made in Sandy's name to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or in Bill's name to the Alberta Lung Association (Alberta Lung).

No services will be held for Sandy as per her wishes. Bill will have a small family service in the spring of 2022.
