Eunice was born in Edmonton to Wolfe and Luelle Pollock. She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Eleanor Bissonette, Linda Mason; sisters-in-law, Afke Nauta and Nell Nauta. She is survived by her husband, John; daughters: Mary Vandelden (Peter), Adrianna Dirks (Rob), Jo Downie (Don), Annetter Veldkamp (Richard); sisters: Jeanette Pollock and Judith Mason (Peter), brothers-in-law, Peter Nauta (Lois), and Andrew Nauta (Carmen); sister-in-law, Ina Nauta; 12 grandchildren, many relatives and her faith community.

Thank you to the dedicated and compassionate staff at the Northeast Community Health Centre, and at the Royal Alex Hospital, her doctor Deborah Evans, and the many who held her in their prayers.

Jesus said to his friend Martha whose brother Lazarus had died four days earlier: "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he died, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" She said to him, "Yes Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world." John 11:24-27. Upon this, Jesus brought Lazarus back to this life. Eunice believed in the resurrection of God's children with all her heart, but on Thursday her human heart broke (literally). Early Friday morning, after midnight, while surrounded by her husband, four daughters and three sons-in-law (some from afar virtually), she padded on into the waiting arms of her Saviour. In great sorrow our hearts also broke, but through it all we live with great hope and are consoled. With tears we will return Eunice's remains to the earth, but those tears are not without hope; our heavenly Father has great plans for his children and he is completing his work.

A private burial will take place at Northern Lights Cemetery. There will be a Celebration of Life held at Providence Canadian Reformed Church, 12905 - 122 Ave, Edmonton on Friday, October 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., with Paster Mark Ten Haff officiating. Due to COVID restrictions, please contact Annette at 780-454-1334 if you wish to attend, or join the livestream at providencereformed.ca. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eunice's name to the Mustard Seed. Thanks to the staff at Foster & McGarvey for their kind service.
