Obituary

In Loving Memory of

William Miller

Mar 27, 2021

Following a lengthy battle with Multiple Sclerosis Bill Miller of Edmonton, Alberta passed away peacefully with family by his side on Mach 27, 2021.

He will be lovingly remembered by wife and angel, Evelyn Dellosa and her family; children: Brandi Heather (Ken) and Sean Miller (Tanya); grandchildren: Tanner, Megan and Goldie as well as relatives and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents: Ralph and Maude Miller.

Bill was an Athlete, Graphic Designer, Photographer, Teacher, Expressionist Painter, Builder, Activist, Inventor, Poet, and Hands-Free Artist. In 1990, as part of a tremendous team of volunteers, architects, and tradespeople, he became President of ARTSPACE. A fully accessible 8 story Townhouse/High Rise complex complete with a 24-hour, on-site, on-call Support Services Program this is where his artistic, architectural, and advocacy came to fruition.

With Evelyn always at his side, he continued to create, and invent new ways to consider accessibility and saw art as a therapeutic outlet for the effects of MS. He continued to travel to Nanaimo BC where he felt his heart was meant to be, next to the ocean, tapping out the rhythm to great music, absorbed by the energy of nature.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial Donations may be made in Bill's name to MS Society of Canada

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the University of Alberta Emergency Department for their care and compassion.
