With sadness we announce the gentle end of the long life of our mother, Grace Young, on Shrove Tuesday, March 5 in her 98th year.

Predeceased by her husband, Squadron Leader William F. "Bill" Young (R.A.F., Retired); parents Levi and Josephine Miller (nee Nesset), and her sisters: Verna, Irma, Frances; as well as numerous relatives in the United States.

From humble beginnings as a farmer's daughter doing the work of the sons he never had, chopping heads off chickens, milking cows, etc. and nanny to a prominent Red Deer family to the exciting world of R.A.F. with numerous posting including a two year stint in Kenya in the early fifties. In retirement she had enjoyed travel with Bill then later with her daughters. Grace was a devoted member of IODE.
