In loving memory of Ann West who passed away on May 28, 2018 at the age of 97.

She leaves behind to mourn her son, Ric (Carol) of PEI; sister, Helen Drager; nephews and nieces; and special friend, France Royer.

She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" J. West; as well as sisters, Olia, Jen and Vici; and brother, Walter.

Her life was full, working for many years doing data entry for different employers and in last years she worked as a teacher's aide in a nearby school. Besides managing her home, she loved gardening and became an accomplished painter.

From a young age Ann and her sisters were involved in music and dance, often playing and competing in the province. Her favourite instrument was the mandolin but she had the ability to play piano as well.

Ann was always particular about her attire and proud to show her beautiful white hair. She greeted everybody with a smile and always thought that the world would be a better place if people were kind to each other. Staff from the hospitals and facility were amazed at her resiliency and determination on a day to day basis. She showed great unending courage in tackling her difficulties.

She often spoke of her years growing up in Riverdale with her family and of all the years she shared with Bill at their home in Edmonton and on the farm by Rochester.

As per her wishes, no service will be held. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta and/or Alberta SPCA, 17904 - 118 Avenue, Edmonton, AB, T5S 2W3.
