It is with deep and profound sadness that I announce the passing of my mother, Doris Brown at the age of 93. Mom was born in Coalspur, Alberta later moving to Artland and Paynton, Saskatchewan and Ribstone, Alberta for school while growing up. After attending McTavish Business College in Edmonton, she went on to work with the CNR in Edson, Alberta and other locations throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan, later working in the insurance industry and finishing with 13 years with the Alberta Correspondence School in Edmonton. Mom always had a kind, caring, generous, positive attitude showing great pride in city, home, garden and also in the many friends and acquaintances made along the way. A quality life well done and she will be missed. Predeceased by husband (Dad) Roger (Mac) Brown in 1989, brother Murray Plum in 1982 and father Charles in 1970, mother Alberta in 1997 and is survived by her son Allan of Calgary and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, I would ask a donation to the charity of your choice please.

A Celebration of Doris’ Life will take place at 10:00 am on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at Foster and McGarvey Funeral Home 10011- 114 Street Edmonton. Followed by inurnment at Beechmount Cemetery 12420- 104 Street, Edmonton
