On March 31, 2016, Norris Tomlinson passed away at the age of 86 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife Shirley Mae; his children, David (Kathryn) Tomlinson, and Susan (Bruce) MacMillan; his brothers, Hugh (Aletha), and Garth (Phyllis); brother in law Bruce (Della) Willerton; grandchildren Moira, Siobhan, Ronan, Isabelle, Robyn and Colin; many nieces, grandnieces, nephews, grandnephews. Norris grew up on the family farm in Irma and graduated from Vermillion School of Agriculture in 1951. He farmed until 1957 and then moved to Edmonton and became a CN policeman for over 30 years. Norris and Shirley Mae did everything together. They were avid square dancers and loved to travel. They camped and after retirement travelled to see as much of the world as they could.

Norris and his family were extremely grateful to Dr. Humphries who provided exceptional care, support and advocacy to Norris. Thank you to all the staff at Laurier House who cared for Norris over the last year.
