Emma was born at Rollyview, Alberta and was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She had a strong affiliation with Trinity Lutheran and later Augustana Lutheran Church. Her last career was at the Metropolitan store for 26 years, and retired at age 65. She lived at St. Joachm Manor for 14 years independently, until age 93.Her last 8 years of extended care was at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Edmonton. She loved the facility and the caring staff. Emma loved to travel coast to coast in Canada and the USA, usually by bus or train. She loved to bowl and was proud of the medallions she won. She was active into her late 80s. There were family gatherings to celebrate her 70th, 80th, 90th, 100th, and 101 birthdays. She always marveled at how long she lived. Now she has everlasting life with Jesus.
