Clara "Clare" Botsford (formerly Langham, nee Ondrack) of Edmonton died of cancer at the Royal Alexandra Hospital on January 28, 2015 at the age of 91.

Clare was a committed social activist and a member of "SALT" for many years. She is survived by her daughter, Claire Langham of Creston, BC; her grandchildren, David Strom of Proctor, BC and Lorraine Czerwenka of Cranbrook, BC; her siblings, Jack Ondrack (Esther) of Spruce Grove, AB and Frances (Dwight) Heslep of Merida, Mexico; and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Clare was predeceased by her husband, James S. Botsford (always "Jimmy" to Clare) and her siblings, Frank Ondrack, Helen Dean, Rosalyn Bjorn, Walter Ondrack and Tony Ondrack.

Clare will be interred beside her husband in a private ceremony in the Field of Honour at Beechmount Cemetery, Edmonton.

A Celebration of Clare’s Life will be held in the SAGE Room at the Seniors’ Association of Greater Edmonton, 15 Sir Winston Churchill Square, on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
