Whalley Leo

In Loving Memory of

Leo Whalley

of Edmonton
Apr 1, 1920 - Mar 18, 2014

To Leo's family, I wish to pay tribute to Leo, a fine gentleman and a true friend. Over the dining room table at Rosedale, our group had many interesting times. We would discuss everything, from art and nature to world affairs, sometimes with a little nonsense thrown for good measure. Leo's sound and positive ideas were always listened to with interest and respect. Tuesdays were fun days when we played "Wheel of Fortune" (Rosedale Version), the men competing against the women. Leo, with his keen mind, excelled at this game. His splendid voice is sorely missed in our birthday quartet and with the Rosedale choir. Who knows, he may already be singing, as never before, with a choir of angels - what heavenly music! In all matters involving people or situations, Leo demonstrated fairness, patience and kind understanding. I learned patience from Leo and loved our times together. Thank you God for the precious gift of Leo's friendship. Kay Allin
