Geddes David

In Loving Memory of

David Geddes

of St. Albert
Apr 9, 1930 - Jan 12, 2022

So sorry to hear of Mr. Geddes passing. As a student at Paul Kane who had children that also went to Paul Kane, he contributed to the education of two generations of our family. My brother and his children also attended along with our youngest brother. Mr. Geddes gentle, kind presence was appreciated and respected. I hope he would be glad to know that I edited my condolences as best I could. Sincere condolences. Shauna Oor

To the Extended Geddes Family: Thank you for the beautiful service and slide presentation. The various tributes to Dave, so well delivered, truly reflected the Dave we remember - funny, caring, friendly, charming, full of stories and laughter. We always looked forward to seeing and talking to him at holiday family dinners. Right now we expect Dave is using his Scottish charm and story telling ability to convince Louis Armstrong to help form a heavenly trumpet and pipes band. Our thoughts, prayers, and sympathies are with you. Let those many fond memories comfort you at this time. Rest in peace old friend. God bless. Chick and Harvey

I was very sorry to hear of Dave's sudden passing. Dave, along with my long time friend Helen, joined me at the Citadel plays for several seasons which included other outings. as well. It was always a treat to be in their company. Dave was just a delight and I loved his sense of humour. At the Citadel plays I learned something new about the theatre every single time from Dave's vast knowledge of the theatre and the plays. I am so pleased that he came into my friend's life and that I got to know him. I watched the funeral service and could see that he was so well loved by his wonderful family. My sympathy to Kathleen and Keith and family. Shirley Redmond

Mr. Gerdes was a very positive influence in my life. He let a group of us ā?? hang outā? in the library in high school. It was our place and a sanctuary. In talking with my siblings it seems most of us babysat you ā??kidsā? as we lived just down the street. Condolences to you all, from the Telfer clan.

I was so sad to hear this news, Dave was such a wonderful gentleman! I went to Paul Kane highschool, but then met him again later in life through Helen and secular causes. We bonded over our Scottish heritage, among other things. He will be missed.
