Condolences

Bassani Elmer

In Loving Memory of

Elmer Bassani

of Edmonton, Alberta

I enjoyed 'bugging' Elmer, to watch his facial expression, and then his courteous response. I will always remember his smile and chuckle.

Noone in the Bassini will know me! My memories of Elmer are pleasant and remind me there are some really fine people who do business in this city. I used to drive a 1950 Plymouth; anyone who has driven such a vehicle will know if a cloud passed in front of the sun the vehicle won't start...I made the fatal mistake of not plugging my vehicle in, and Cliff's came out...they couldn't start the vehicle, there was no charge. The second occasion was when I came home late at night and my vehicle got stuck in the garage driveway...Cliff's came out, moved the vehicle into the garage... no charge. The no charge will be obvious now...from 1960-1972 I was in the traffic section of the EPS. Elmer and his firm were constant co-workers as we towed vehicles. Elmer seemed to be always there, always helping, always pleasant. He was a good man.

I met Elmer only a few years ago when he allowed me to store my boat in his shop. On one occasion, Elmer was there and proudly showed me his "toys". We spent more than 2 hours exploring his vast collection. The stories we shared will stay with me forever, as will his smile. He was an exceptional man. My condolences to you all.
