Condolences

McIntosh R. Gordon

In Loving Memory of

R. Gordon McIntosh

Dear Family of Gordon I was saddened to learn of Dr. McIntosh's passing. Dr. McIntosh was a member of my doctoral committee and I took several classes with him while studying for my PhD. The obituary clearly defined him as I knew him. He really was a generous and kind professor--always encouraging, always supporting, always helpful, always thoughtful. His caring for the students was always evident. It was my good fortune to learn from him. I treasure the memories of my studies because of my opportunity to work with him. While I know that he will be missed, I also know that he has left a wonderful treasure of memories for each of you.

I wish to extend my condolences to the family of Gordon McIntosh. I especially wish to target these wishes to wife Norma, and to daughter Patti who was a former student. Gordon was a fine asset to the University of Alberta over years including of post retirement. We met together often at the Association of Professors Emeritus, and at times over Faculty Club lunch including Norma. Every organization was better for the presence and leadership of Gordon. A good friend.
