I will always remember the conversations about Neil Young and his love of his music, his teasing about my beloved Oilers and his wonderful baking treats which were always welcomed and enjoyed despite our widening waistlines. His legacy will include his compassion for the families we dealt with and his passion for his job. . ...I'll miss you so much Jim..your laugh was infectious and your dedication deep. You taught me alot and I thank you for that. My sincere condolences to the Boyd family. The world has lost a wonderful man

I send my deepest love and condolences to the Boyd family. Jim was like a second father to me and proved to be a great friend and mentor. I'll always remember our late night chats; bonding over music, love, and laughter. He graciously let his son and us hooligans use the basement as a jam space. It was a pivotal time in my life and he was one the pillars. Forever love and missed, rest in peace Jim.

I am deeply saddned by Jim's death. I have worked with Jim over the years in a number of capacities and know that he was very passionate about his work and his love for children, youth and families. I always looked forward to hearing his hearty laugh. He had a great sense of humour, was humble and accepting of all no matter who you were. A ture professional who will be missed but his impact in the field of child and Youth Care will live on.

I'm saddened by the news of Jim's passing and send my condolences. I worked with Jim at YYC and we spent time golfing together. As well I remember Jim dancing feverishly to the Dangerous Guys as we played at various functions - Jim brought energy and life to everything he touched. A good man has passed away and my thoughts are with you and your family.
