Obituary

Veteran WWII RCAF, B.Eng. 1950 University of Manitoba, retired manager of Allis Chalmers Canada Ltd.

On October 22, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. in Sherwood Park, AB, Jim passed away peacefully with his cherished wife Lois of 65 years holding his hand.

At age 94, the whispers of a full life danced about him and came to a close. Jim was a fiercely independent man, a loving husband and father who always had a twinkle in his bright blue eyes, the window into his sense of humour and playfulness that inspired his grand presence. His most important accomplishment was the family that he and Lois raised and the grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the bliss of his existence.

Jim is survived by his wife Margaret Lois (nee Miller); son Doug Scotten (Carmen) of Palos Verdes, California; daughters, Elisse Kennedy (Ted) of Boulder, Colorado, Donna Scotten (Jim Neale) of Head of St Margaret`s Bay, Nova Scotia, and Lynn Smith (Scott) of Sherwood Park, Alberta. He is remembered by his 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be followed by cremation.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Stollery Children`s Hospital Foundation at www.stollerykids.com

In Loving Memory of
James Scotten
