Condolences to Helen Skirrow and the rest of the family. Helen was our librarian at Alberta Education. We often talked about the Skirrow family experiences. Helen was a great help to all of us.

I was saddened to hear that Stan had died. He was a great leader in the Waskahegan Trail Association where he encouraged and mentored many new hikers. My husband, Martin, and I enjoyed our ten years of hiking with the club under Stan's guidance. He had a wonderfully kind manner, was knowledgeable about the countryside and enjoyed a close and collegiate relationship with all the landowners who respected and trusted him. I will never forget him. I still dream of our wonderful hikes that I miss so much as age claims all it seems.
